More training places available soon

Step 4 of the government’s Roadmap out of Lockdown for England removes all limits on social contact. The Club is therefore able to increase the number of members able to participate in training sessions once this step has been taken. Accordingly the Club plans to increase the capacity of training sessions from 4 July.

While legal restrictions may have been removed, in line with the government’s guidance, COVID-19 remains a part of our lives and we must carry on with ‘hands, face, space’ and comply with the COVID-Secure measures that remain in place. Therefore the Club does not plan on returning to full capacity immediately but will follow a phased approach starting in July and continuing over the following months.

Last year’s members will receive an email by the end of May inviting them to register their interest to renew their Club membership and restart training. Please keep a look out for an email arriving in your inbox (or junk folder) and follow the instructions if you want to renew.

In June, once the Club has more clarity on the easing of restrictions, those members who have expressed an interest to renew will be notified of the renewal process and their training restart date.

We understand the frustration many of our loyal members have felt at the lack of training sessions over the last year. We are grateful for your patience while we have worked hard to put on training as often as possible for as many members as possible in a legal and safe manner.

Any increase in member numbers at training is completely dependent on step 4 restriction easing being enacted. Currently we expect our training sessions will continue to take place legally and safely for all our volunteers and members, albeit with an increased capacity from July. Should that change, we will update our website and members directly as appropriate.

We look forward to seeing you and your dogs at training again soon.
